Kim is back with another soft furnishing class. This time it is learning to make curtains on a two day course.
The class will be held in the Horsehair & Hessian workshop nr Bury St Edmunds on
22nd & 23rd October 2024 9.30 am - 4 pm
The class will be limited to 5 people to ensure everyone gets lots of personal tuition.
You will learn how to…
Make a sample interlined curtain contrast border and hand finished headings
Discuss fabrics, poles, interlinings and linings
Measure and cut fabric correctly
Pattern matching and joining widths
Calculate pleat placements
Create mitred corners and add weights
Create hand finished headings (Double and triple pleats, cartridge pleats)
Learn how to hang and dress curtains
We will also cover measurements for windows and other headings types
