2 Day Hand Stitched Gathered Lamp Shade Class
I’m so excited that Aimee is coming to Suffolk especially to teach this class in the workshop.
The day will run from 10-4 on Sat 2nd & Sun 3rd March 2024
All materials are included.
The class will be limited to 8 people
Over two full days you will handstitch your own beautiful gathered lampshade. I have lots of beautiful silk and cotton fabric but please feel free to bring your own as well and we can see if it will be suitable.
YOU WILL LEARN TO
Choose and prepare a suitable frame for this technique
• Create gathers with traditional techniques
• Make a balloon lining
• Finish your shade with a handstitched bias edge
• All materials are included.
• Handstitched shades can be fiddly and hard on your hands. Please consider this if you have any issues with your hands and wrists.
